Our Community Affairs Committee had a great day of volunteering for the Kits Cubed STEM Fair in Oakland on September 12, 2026!
Thank you to Kits Cubed for inviting the ISPE San Francisco | Bay Area Chapter Community Affairs Committee to participate in this wonderful annual event once again. We engaged with more than 240 students and demonstrated how to extract DNA from strawberries through a fun, hands-on science activity.
A huge shout-out to our amazing Community Affairs Committee volunteers: Wendy Lin, Ankur Yadav, Melissa Austin, CQA, CFSQA, Feilun Wu, Nancy Ly, Alicia T., Trung Vuong, and Somi Kim. And of course, a special thank you to our junior volunteers, Olivia Barquero and Rocklin Graystone! Last but not least, thank you to our executive board members Kevin D. Norman, AIA (President) and Lilley Tran (Vice President) for coming out and supporting the team! We appreciate your enthusiasm, dedication, and efforts to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders!
